Μ/ΜΑRITIΜΕ ONBOARD ΟFFICERS CONFERENCE 2023 WAS SUCCESFULLY COMPLETED IN CONSTANTA, ROMANIA

Τhe 2023 Officers Conference of M/MARITIME took place in Constanta, Romania on the 17th – 18th October 2023. This two-day Conference was a special opportunity to meet with our Senior Officers, update them on improvements on our Company’s procedures, our industry’s best practices and regulatory matters but most meaningfully engage with them in constructive discussions with our Masters, Chief Engineers, and Senior Officers to ensure alignment of purpose and collaboration to maintain quality and accuracy in all functions of the ship-management process.

33 Senior officers, 12 of whom have been onboard our good vessels for more than 5 years, 10 Masters, 10 Chief Officers, 6 Chief Engineers and 6 2nd Engineers, participated and exchanged ideas for continuous improvement, training and cultivation of a safety culture leading with our Fleet Director Captain Vassilis Tousas, our Crew Manager, Ms Loule Alexandra, our Operations Manager Captain Efstratios Drakoulis, our HSQE Manager & DPA Mr. Dimitrios Orfanos, our Technical Manager Mr. Petros Tripolitis and our Corporate Communications Manager Ms Elisa Gerouki.

The valuable support of Ms Iryna Alieksieieva, Senior Crew Operator Marlow Navigation Ukraine and Mr. Christos Pouros, Crew Superintendent Marlow Navigation Cyprus contributed to one more successful Officers Conference despite all difficulties our Ukrainian officers and families continue to face. This year the participation of Mr. Jani Jarvinen Crisis Media Manager from Navigate Response and Dr. Dr. Jens Tülsner, CEO of Marine Medical Solutions, enhanced even further the high standards of training or our people onboard through targeted contribution via a media training session and training on handling of medical cases onboard. 

All our Senior officers were very grateful for the opportunity to meet us and their colleagues in person again despite all and any complications in today’s world. We will always find opportunities to improve ourselves. Together we can be a step ahead.
