AVRA.GR SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATED IN a SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATION OF LIFE AT SEA WITH U.S Coast guard

AVRA.GR, the first vessel to be delivered to the fleet of M/MARITIME becomes the first vessel to successfully participate in a search and rescue of life at sea operation in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard. Our AVRA.GR while enroute from Puerdo Sandino, where vessel had completed discharging operations, to Callao, was selected and invited by the USCG to participate in a search and rescue operation of three people at sea, in close cooperation with both the USCG and Costa Rica Coast Guard. AVRA.GR immediately responded to USCG notice, deviated and participated in saving all three people from burning fishing vessel. All three people were safe onboard AVRA.GR and in coordination with USCG safely transferred to a Costa Rican Coast Guard vessel 70 nm away from their original rescue position at sea. We are all proud of the Captain, Officers and all Crew onboard our AVRA.GR for the smooth handling of this life rescue operation and for taking very good care of all three people until their disembarkation. We wish AVRA.GR this life saving gesture allows her to continue sailing around the world in calm seas.
