In October 2025, M/MARITIME hosted its second M/MARITIME Onboard Officers Conference in Athens, Greece, bringing together Senior Officers from across the Company’s managed fleet for a three-day programme dedicated to collaboration, training and operational alignment.
A total of 43 Senior Officers participated in the conference, including 12 Captains, 9 Chief Officers, 12 Chief Engineers and 10 Second Engineers. The event provided a valuable platform for Officers and shore-based teams to exchange insights, share best practices and further strengthen the Company’s commitment to operational excellence, safety and continuous professional development.
The conference was opened by Crew Manager Mrs. Alexandra Loule, while senior members of the M/MARITIME management team delivered presentations and led discussions on operational procedures, technical developments, regulatory matters and the Company’s ongoing commitment to quality, safety and efficiency.
The programme also benefited from the valuable contribution of industry partners and specialists. Representatives from Marlow Navigation, Navigate Response Ltd, Scholasticus Law PLLC, Crotti Safety Hellas, Katradis Marine Ropes Industry S.A., SABO Marine Services, and DETURBO Piraeus delivered specialised sessions and shared insights on a range of operational, technical and regulatory topics relevant to modern ship management.
Beyond the formal sessions, the conference offered a valuable opportunity for Officers and shore-based colleagues to connect in person and strengthen professional relationships. Participants also experienced the cultural heritage of Athens through a visit to the historic centre of Plaka, followed by a dinner gathering celebrating the strong sense of teamwork that underpins M/MARITIME’s operations.
At M/MARITIME, investing in people remains at the core of the Company’s philosophy. Initiatives such as the Onboard Officers Conference play a key role in strengthening collaboration across the fleet while reinforcing the high standards of professionalism, safety and operational excellence that define the Company.
