M/MARITIME welcomes Officers onboard her vessels to Greece

M/MARITIME hosted M/MARITIME ONBOARD Officers Conference in Athens, Greece at the beginning of October 2024.

This is the first time the Company’s Officers visit Greece to attend a conference dedicated to all onboard M/MARITIME fleet.

This two-day conference was a distinct occasion during which all M/MARITIME people ashore came together with the Officers onboard the Company’s vessels, to ensure alignment for the implementation of quality and accuracy in all functions of our ship-management process.

40 Senior Officers, 12 Captains, 9 Chief Officers, 12 Chief Engineers and 7 2nd Engineers exchanged ideas to ensure continuous improvement of our daily operations, meaningful development of training opportunities and enhancement of the cultivation of a concrete safety culture onboard our fleet.

The Crew Manager of M/MARITIME, Mrs. Alexandra Loule, welcomed all participants and together with another 7 managers, Fleet Director & Marine Manager, Captain Vasilis Tousas, Operations Manager Captain Efstratios Drakoulis, HSQE Manager & DPA Mr. Dimitrios Orfanos, Technical Manager Mr. Petros Tripolitis, Purchasing Manager Mr. Nicholas Chiladakis, Cost Controller Mr. Aris Katis and Corporate Communications Manager Mrs. Elisa Gerouki, together with 2 Technical Superintendents, Mr. Vlasis Fourkas and Mr. Nikos Rigos and 2 HSQE Superintendents, Mr. Vasilis Synodinos and Mr. George Koutoulakis, provided a series of training sessions, engaging in meaningful discussions to ensure contribution for the improvement of our Company’s procedures, our industry’s practices and ongoing regulatory matters.

The valuable support of Ms Iryna Alieksieieva, Crew Manager Marlow Navigation Ukraine and Mr. Christos Pouros, Crew Superintendent Marlow Navigation Cyprus contributed to one more successful M/MARITIME ONBOARD Officers Conference, despite all difficulties our Ukrainian Officers and their families continue to face.

Mr. Κyle Fawkes, Crisis Communications Manager of Navigate Response Ltd, provided a detailed media training targeted to the concerns and needs of our Company and Mr. Christos Argyriou, Operations Manager of Oceanic Catering welcomed true feedback on their products and services from our Officers onboard. Mr. Stefanos Roulakis, Lawyer, Principal of Scholasticus Law PLLC, was invited to provide an update on lessons and experiences from MARPOL US related cases and Messrs. Vassilis Kois and Angelos Georgiopoulos from SABO Marine Services, participated by sharing their valuable expertise and best maintenance practices.

All our Senior Officers were grateful for the opportunity to meet all ashore M/MARITIME colleagues in person despite all and any complications in today’s world and spend time together. The visit to the Acropolis Museum followed by dinner at the old of Athens, will always be remembered. At M/MARITIME we always find opportunities to improve ourselves.
