THE AMVER SPECIAL RESCUE AWARD WAS PRESENTED TO M/V AVRA.GR AND M/MARITIME FROM THE INTERNATIONAL PROPELLER CLUB PORT OF PIRAEUS
We are pleased to announce that the first vessel to be delivered to the fleet of M/MARITIME, our M/V AVRA.GR, received a special AMVER Rescue Award at the occasion of the AMVER Awards 2021 Ceremony organized by the International Club of the United States, Port of Piraeus in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Embassy Greece on the 14th December 2021. AVRA.GR was selected and invited by the USCG to participate in a search and rescue operation of three people at sea, in close cooperation with both the USCG and Costa Rica Coast Guard while en enroute from Puerdo Sandino, where vessel had completed discharging operations, to Callao. We are appreciative and proud of the Captain, Officers and all Crew onboard our AVRA.GR for the smooth handling of this life rescue operation and for taking very good care of all three people until their disembarkation. We wish this life saving gesture allows all our vessels to continue sailing around the world in calm seas.
